For generic salt AxBy: Ksp = [A]^x * [B]^y = (x*s)^x * (y*s)^y = (x^x * y^y) * s^(x+y). Molar Solubility s = [ Ksp / (x^x * y^y) ]^(1 / (x+y)). Mass Solubility = s * Molar Mass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because the mathematical relationship between s and Ksp depends on stoichiometry (e.g., s = sqrt(Ksp) for 1:1 vs s = cuberoot(Ksp/4) for 1:2); a 1:2 salt with a smaller Ksp can actually have higher molar solubility.
